Nobody likes to see the doctor, not just Dr. George, but any doctor.   The main reason being if you go to the doctor, you have to admit that you’re sick. Or even worse, you go to the doctor with one problem, but come to find out you have a whole bunch of others.  We tend to avoid Jesus as any other doctor, but even morseo as he is a doctor not merely of body, but of soul. Today the great doctor Jesus heals a paralytic in our reading, but also treats our deepest fears around healing and encourages us that with faith in God and trust in others, we can find healing and wholeness that we never thought possible.
