Today, on the Feast of the Holy Translators, we remember St. Mesrob Mashdots & St. Sahag Partev. We know who they were right?  Yes they created the Armenian Alphabet and oversaw the translation of Bible and others texts to Armenian. What they did with language translation in their time was amazing and revolutionary. But, truth be told, now AI could do the language part in 50 seconds what that took them 50 years, translating Greek to Armenian, Hebrew to Armenian,etc.

So is google translate now one of our Holy Translators? No because translation is much more than linguistic translation, that’s a small part of what they did. The greater part is they translated the Word of God into the life of their people, something AI can never do on its own. The Holy Translators brought the Heavenly Kingdom a little closer, more accessible, and more livable.
