My son Narek’s birthday was on Friday and when asked what he wants for his birthday, he prizes one gift above all others. I want a yes day.  If you aren’t aware, a yes day is when anything you ask for- you get.  Narek’s yes day started with asking to go to a fancy restaurant. Then asking to play too many video games, then a cake boss cake, then a sky zone party, then, then.  I bring this up today, not to pass the collection plate around a second time, but because I think Narek’s yes day reveals something deeply wired into human nature, a yearning and desire that we naturally seek to fill in this world, but ultimately can only be filled and fulfilled by God in his dawning kingdom.
